Steve Peat- Worlds Number 1 Downhiller in the 1993 7UP BMBF DH Final, Eastridge Forest Shrewsbury
7 Up BMBF Downhill Final, won by Andrew Titley from Shrewsbury (home course). This is a fantastic era for the growth of UK Mountain Biking. In Steve Peats first year as a Sports XC Rider (winning all events) he started downhilling with Chris Horsefield. Both had rigid bikes, 1.5" specialized hard pack rear tyres & ritchey megabite front 2.1" tyres. Both fantastic riders. Steve is now the best ever DH rider in his time winning World Cup events. Richard Thackery (Pace Racing) Robin Seymour (Pro-Flex Animal Girvin) John Pennyfeather (Pro-Flex Animal Girvin) Steve Peat (Langsett Cycles) Chris Horsefield (Langsett Cycles) Steve Hassel (Rose bank Stack hat)
