Red Bull design chief Adrian Newey admits his team were seriously concerned for the safety of their drivers before the start of the Belgian Grand Prix. Newey explains that tyre supplier Pirelli had warned them that there could be "structural failure in the tyres" after qualifying on Saturday and that failure of the tyres could be "imminent" on both cars. Red Bull secured a one-two in the race, with Sebastian Vettel taking his seventh win of the season, but Newey says it was one of the "scariest races" he has ever been involved with.
