My mates and I have a lunchtime RC speed competition going. Until today the record was 99.9 KPH held by Dave's HoBao GPX4. As brushless officially smokes nitro I had to regain bragging rights so I put 25/54 gearing in the E-Revo and took it down to the pit straight of the old Formula 1 circuit. I am still using off road HoBao racing tyres and they are un-taped. Partly because I am too lazy to bake them off and partly because the ballooning gives you extra top speed. You can clearly hear the sound of tortured rubber as it passes by, but I've got to hand it to these tyres: apart from a small hole they held together. Much more durable than the stock Talons which gave up at 80 KPH.
